about

Written in May 2017 this is a song about the current political and social media circus we live in. Its all take, no give and involves smoke, mirrors and gullible bystanders who are too easily fooled by the illusionists masquerading as politicians.

lyrics

Sometimes I wonder why it's so
This life is not quite quid pro quo
Will We ever reap what we sow
Will we learn from what we know
Well
Chorus:
There's movers and there's shakers
There's fixers and there's breakers
There's givers and there's takers
Some are genuine, some are fakers

If you work really hard you might just get by
Others get it on a plate and don't even try
As the poverty gap widens all the time
And we keep paying and paying for this government's crimes

Chorus

Stand up, stand up to them fakirs
Stand up, stand up to them fakirs
Bridge

Chorus x 2
